~Fall Bible Study~

Greetings, Westport Moms!

For those of you who don’t know me, let me introduce myself. My name is Danell Macy. I am a wife, and a mamma of four daughters ranging in age from 12 to 18. My hubby, Nic, and I have been attending Westport for 6 years.

In years past I have had the pleasure of coordinating and teaching Bible Study for Westport Moms. After taking a year off, I am back in the saddle and cheerfully working under the wonderful leadership of Jennie Guyman and Julie Goodman to bring Bible Study in for the fall. And I am EXCITED!

We will be going through the book of Ruth using a fabulous resource – a study guide from The Living Room Series written by Kelly Minter. Here’s a little write up:
"Ruth's journey of unbearable loss, redeeming love, and divine legacy comes alive in Kelly Minter's Ruth: Loss, Love & Legacy—the second study in the Living Room Series. This 6-week Bible study delves into the noble character of Ruth, her unique relationship with her mother in-law Naomi, and her blossoming love with Boaz.

If you've ever been devastated by loss, struggled as a stranger, longed to be loved, or wept along the way, you'll find a place with Ruth.”

While we are meeting again in homes on Thursdays, this fall it will be EVERY Thursday for seven weeks – October 4^th through November 8^th. There will still be a 5:30 to 6:30am slot (before hubby leaves for work) and a couple 8pm to 9 or 9:30 slots on these days. This way you can choose the time and location that works best for you.

The study guide will walk us through 5 days per week of reading and meditating on the book of Ruth, and is written in such a way that you feel like you are sitting down having a cup of tea with the author. Then on Thursdays we will gather in our small groups to talk through how what we studied applied to us individually.

Sign-ups will begin mid-September, at which time you will be able to plug in to the group that most suits you. Then we will meet in our small groups for the first time Thursday, October 4^th, at which time you can purchase the study guide and be introduced to the book of Ruth.
